Abstract

PLN ULP Genyem is a unit that provides electricity services in Jayapura Regency, as a means to distribute electricity from substations to consumers of PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Genyem has several feeders, then to facilitate the author in this study, the author narrowed down the data taken from PT. PLN ULP Genyem Jayapura Regency. 20 kV PLN ULP Genyem distribution system on Nimobokrang Feeder 1. The purpose of this research project is to determine the magnitude of the 3-phase, 2-phase, and 1-phase short-circuit fault currents to the ground. The method used is sh ort circuit MVA. The data taken is in the form of secondary data taken from the ORYA hydropower plant and PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Genyem City. The initial step of data processing is to calculate the impedance, calculate the short circuit fault current. The calculation results obtained are the largest short-circuit fault current caused by a 3-phase short-circuit fault at 0% feeder length, which is 4787.38 A, and while the smallest short-circuit fault current is caused by a 1-phase short-circuit fault at 100% feeder length, which is 279.23 A. The farther the distance of the fault point, the smaller the short-circuit fault current that occurs and vice versa, the closer the distance of the fault point, the greater the short-circuit fault current that occurs.
