Abstract

An Arduino Uno-based fire alarm design system has been designed using the MQ-7 Fire and Gas Sensor. In this research, the Arduino Uno which has been equipped with a microcontroller functions as a data processing center obtained from the fire sensor and gas sensor, which will detect the presence of fire or not, the presence of gas or not and will display the results on the 20x4 LCD and the buzzer will sound. The test results show that this system works well in accordance with the system design, namely the system is responsive to changes in gas and the presence of fire. If fire and gas are detected in the system, the buzzer will sound and display the detection results on the LCD screen and displays the information "There is fire and there is gas". When the fire and gas are in the right position, the green LED lights up on the sensor and the LCD will display detection information according to the testing distance tested by the examiner.
