The supply of electrical energy in Wamena City is shaped by population increases, economic development, and rising human mobility. Wamena’s designation as a provincial capital is expected to drive substantial growth in electricity demand in the coming years. This study projects electricity requirements up to 2035 to support sustainable energy planning. The DKL 3.2 method is employed using GRDP data from BPS along with PLN records on customer numbers, connected power, and electricity consumption from 2019 to 2024. The analysis covers four sectors: household, business, public, and industrial. The findings reveal differing growth dynamics across sectors. The household sector shows steady expansion, while the business sector declines. The public sector records moderate growth, and the industrial sector—though small in customer count—exhibits the fastest growth rate. These results serve as an important reference for long-term energy planning in Wamena.
