Abstract

The quality of an electric power distribution is affected by the magnitude of the voltage drop. The smaller the voltage drop, the better the quality will be, especially with the growing population, the more load will result in the need for more electrical energy. In a distribution channel, it usually has the largest voltage drop value. So PT. PLN (Persero) issued SPLN No.72 of 1987 as a reference point for the permissible tolerance limit, so that it can be known whether the distribution network is reliable or not. The Maleo feeder is one of the feeders of PLTD Yarmokh, which has a channel length of 2,657 Kms by supplying 29 distribution substations. Voltage drop analysis is needed to find out how much loss occurs in the Maleo feeder distribution system which is analyzed using the ETAP 19.0.1 formula or simulation. The method used is by observation and interviews to obtain the required data, namely conveyor data, single line diagram, distribution transformer load and distance between distribution transformers and then calculate the voltage drop. From the results of the above analysis using the formula, a voltage drop of 7.0531 Volt and a voltage drop percentage of 0.035156% were obtained, while with the ETAP 19.0.1 simulation, a voltage drop of 67.536 Volt and a voltage drop percentage of 0.584% were obtained, so the difference from the manual calculation with ETAP 19.0.1 software was 60.483 volts and from the results of the analysis it was still within the tolerance limit, which was less than 5%.
