COORDINATION ANALYSIS OF OCR AND GFR PROTECTION SYSTEM ON EXPRESS KOYA SUBSTATION 70 20 KV HOLTEKAMP JAYAPURA

The protection system is a security system for electrical equipment, protecting equipment in the event of technical problems, natural disturbances, operanational errors and others causes. Safety sistem coordination is needed to protect the transformerfrom short circuit disturbances. the protection system used to protect the transformer is OCR (Over Current Relay) and GFR (Ground Fault Relay). The purpose of this research is to determine the value of the relay protection system setting, to find out the results of relay coordination and what characteristics are used in the protection system. the object of this research is matters related to the analysis of protection system coordination using primary and secondary data. In the distribution of electrical energy, good continuity of service is needed to consumers, therefore good coordination of the protection system is needed so that the continuity of electric power distribution services can be maintained, usually blackouts are caused by shor cicuits, if the OCR (Over Current Relay) is adjusted on the poor incoming or outgoing can cause a total blackout. one of the efforts made is to evaluate the protection relay setting at the holtekamp main substation (GI) so that they are well coordinated with each other and his hoped that if a disturbance occurs at one of the feeders there will be no bringing black out to other feeders. Based on the analysis of the short circuit current that occurs in the holtekamp substation transformer, namely the 1 phase, 2 phase, and the 3 phase fault, namely at the 0% fault location, 249,74, which is in 1 phase, 2990,672 which is in 2 phase, 3453,33 which is, in 3 phase. Relay working time based on a predetermined time setting of not less than <0,3 seconds that the calculation result with me requirements are still in appropriate conditions so that the performance of the protection sytem is also said to be good because over current relay and ground fault relay are related to each other in terms of their performances.
